DEACONS
Deacons are a specialized office in the church with a focus on care, witness, and service. The ministry of service (Greek diakonia, from which the term “deacon” is derived) includes ministering to those in need, visiting the sick, and concern for all in distress. The Board of Deacons meets the second Tuesday of every month, and self-elects co-moderators. A co-pastor is the staff liaison. Our board consists of 12 adult and two youth members. The deacons are involved in the ministry of visitation, serve monthly homebound communion, and host the weekly coffee hour on Sunday mornings.

CARE
The Deacons provide regular support to members and friends, especially homebound, through prayer, meals, and visitations.

GRIEF SUPPORT
Loss comes to us in so many ways. Grieving is hard work and drains us emotionally, physically, and spiritually. This is a group open to all and will help you grieve honestly and seek the care provided in community, prayer, and God’s word. You are not alone in your grief. Come join us for caring, supportive, and hope-filled sessions.

HOSPITALITY
The Deacons host a time of fellowship for the whole church every Sunday between the worship services. They also provide hospitality for other events.
